I was arrested for 245(a)(1) ‘assault with a deadly weapon no firearm’ and after posting bail, I researched the “top” six criminal defense attorneys in Los Angeles. After calling all six, I scheduled face to face meetings with only four. He beat me, I defended myself, and then he lied to the cops and got me arrested for a felony (domestic violence) and a misdemeanor (he lied to the cops and said I was preventing him from calling 911). I had previously recorded our fights, and had evidence that my ex-boyfriend was the abuser. I spent 24 hours in jail, and bailed myself out. My bail bonds man recommended Max. That day, I called him and he immediately listened to my side of the story and scheduled to meet me the next day. His office was nice and cozy; very clean. We sat in the conference room and he gathered all the information from me. He listened patiently to my recordings of my fights with my ex-boyfriend, and truly showed sympathy for the situation I was in.
